Exploring Cycle-Consistent Adversarial Networks
Technical Paper
In
my technical paper titled
'Exploring Cycle-Consistent Adversarial Networks for Smartphone Photography: Translating iPhone Photos to DSLR Quality,'
I delved into the innovative
application of Cycle-Consistent
Adversarial Networks (CycleGANs) to
enhance smartphone photography. This
school project, which earned me
distinctions and commendation from
my lecturer, provided invaluable
insights into the capabilities of
GANs in image translation.
While this was not a formal
research paper, the process was a
significant learning experience that
taught me how to conduct thorough
research and effectively articulate
my findings in a structured format.
Through this project, I gained a
deeper understanding of image
processing techniques and the
potential of deep learning to
transform everyday photographs into
high-quality images. The skills I
developed in writing and analysis
have greatly enriched my academic
journey.
